Position Summary

Manage academic, administrative, and student services operations of the academic programs for the Department of Mathematics at the Courant Institute School of Mathematics, Computing, and Data Science, including student recruitment, admissions, academic and career counseling for students. Advise students on program requirements, course sequencing and departmental and Tandon policies and procedures. Develop course schedules, orientations and examination dates; assist the Directors of the academic programs with the development and implementation of departmental administrative and academic policies.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's DegreePreferred Education:Bachelor's Degree in Education, Administration or a related field Master's Degree in Education, Administration or a related fieldRequired Experience:3+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience with planning and administering activities, academic advising, and staff supervisionPreferred Experience:Experience with student recruitment, admissions or career placement.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to market programs, solve problems and interact with individuals at all levels. Working knowledge of various software applications including HTML and web programming.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Ability to use desktop publishing and web design (HTML, Dreamweaver). Extensive knowledge of BRIO, Access, Excel and Word.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $77,000.00 to USD $80,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
