POSITION OVERVIEW

The Project Executive is a senior leadership role responsible for managing a portfolio (“book of work”) of high-end residential construction projects. This individual provides strategic oversight across multiple project teams and serves as the highest authority within the project structure for client-facing and operational decision-making.

The Project Executive is accountable for overall client satisfaction, financial performance, project execution, and the development of project personnel. This role requires a strong balance of leadership, business acumen, and operational excellence, with a consistent focus on delivering best-in-class outcomes aligned with company standards and values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

PROJECT & FINANCIAL OVERSIGHT

  • Maintain full responsibility for the financial health of all assigned projects, including budgets, forecasting, cash flow, and cost control
  • Ensure all subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders are properly reviewed, approved, and executed
  • Proactively communicate financial impacts and budget updates to clients and stakeholders
  • Monitor expenditures, billing, and collections in coordination with internal teams

SCHEDULING & EXECUTION

  • Oversee project schedules and ensure alignment with contractual milestones
  • Conduct regular schedule reviews and assess impacts on cost and resources
  • Ensure all schedule changes are communicated and approved by clients and design teams

PROCUREMENT & CONTRACT MANAGEMENT

  • Lead final negotiations and buyout of all trades
  • Review subcontractor proposals and provide recommendations to clients and consultants
  • Ensure subcontractors meet contractual obligations and performance standards

SITE & QUALITY OVERSIGHT

  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure safety, cleanliness, and quality standards are upheld
  • Maintain strong relationships with building management, neighbors, and external stakeholders
  • Ensure all job sites operate in compliance with company safety and operational standards

PROJECT ADMINISTRATION

  • Oversee all aspects of project setup, documentation, and reporting
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of logs, correspondence, and project records
  • Attend key meetings and ensure consistent communication across all project teams
  • Ensure timely completion of all required reporting to senior leadership

PROJECT CLOSEOUT

  • Oversee project closeout, ensuring completion of all outstanding items
  • Facilitate smooth transition to Service & Maintenance teams

TEAM LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers and project staff
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support career development initiatives
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement

CLIENT RELATIONS & LEADERSHIP ENGAGEMENT

  • Serve as a senior representative of the company in client interactions
  • Participate in Client Relations and Management Committee meetings
  • Support broader company initiatives and strategic efforts as required

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 10 years of high-end residential construction and management experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supervising and developing personnel
  • Strong business acumen with expertise in financial management, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and lead in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Business preferred
