Project Manager

Reporting to the Vice President of Project Management, the Project Manager is responsible for managing all project execution activities from planning through completion for the implementation of various distributed energy resource projects including combined heat & power (CHP), fuel cells, energy storage, solar & geothermal technologies for our customers. This is not an IT Project Manager role. Our core team is composed of independent thinkers who effectively collaborate to develop viable solutions to today’s energy challenges and leverage the interdisciplinary backgrounds and experiences within the team to develop holistic, sustainable projects.This is a hybrid position, preferably based in the New York City area, however open to remote locations as well based on experience and capability.Occasional travel may be required depending upon location of project assignments, up to 25%.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Liaise between Endurant’s internal sales, development, engineering and procurement teams to prepare and manage:

    • Project implementation plans and work scopes for various disciplines

    • Engineering, procurement, and construction schedules

    • Project cost estimates and actual cost tracking

  • Assist in preparing RFPs responses to customers, and for equipment suppliers and subcontractors

  • Coordinate execution planning with suppliers and subcontractors for best quality, safety, cost and schedule performance to ensure compliance with project design, customer requirements, and applicable codes

  • Manage required permitting activities from project planning through close-out

  • Oversee the construction management team and subcontractors responsible for implementation of construction projects and ensure safety goals are met

  • Manage overall project schedules, budgets, contract change orders, and RFIs

  • Liaise with procurement & engineering team to resolve issues and challenges

  • Monitor and report on project progress and issues

  • Lead internal and external project meetings

  • Manage relationships with clients, partners, subcontractors and other project stakeholders

Required Hard Skills:
  • Minimum 5 years project management and preferably some construction experience in energy systems

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in engineering, construction management or related

  • Familiarity with distributed energy resource technologies, including combined heat & power, fuel cells, energy storage, and microgrids preferred

  • Proven experience effectively managing various aspects of projects, including managing scope, budget, schedule, and permitting

Desired Soft Skills:
  • Proactive problem-solving approach with an eye towards risk management / mitigation

  • Comfortable in client-facing situations

  • Ability to work in small teams within a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment

  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and MS Project

Location: New York (hybrid, with travel) highly preferred, with a remote option available for the right candidate

Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000/annually
