POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Property Management Intern will support the Property Management and Operations team with a variety of day-to-day functions that ensure efficient building operations and strong tenant relations. This role assists with administrative tasks, contract and purchase order preparation, data updates, and technology initiatives, including AI-related projects. The intern will participate in building inspections, budget preparation, sustainability efforts, research, and reporting. They will also help develop presentations, attend tenant and project meetings, and contribute to the analysis of proposed building improvement projects. 

 

Full-time: 40 hours per week from June 1st, 2026, until August 7th, 2026 

Location: Onsite at 111 W 33rd Street, New York, NY and 350 5th Avenue, Empire State Building

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist management with day-to-day operations, including but not limited to tenant relations, administrative processing, and scheduling appointments 
  • Preparation of contracts and purchase orders 
  • Assist in the analysis and presentation of proposed building improvement projects 
  • Update databases and logs 
  • Assist management with technology initiatives such as AI 
  • Perform building inspections with property management/operations team 
  • Gather information for budget preparation 
  • Assist with Tenant Town Hall meeting PowerPoint Presentation 
  • Attend tenant and project meetings with members of property management/operations team 
  • Assist with sustainability initiatives 
  • Assist with research and reporting 
  • Additional projects as directed

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • A Junior enrolled in a four-year or five-year undergraduate program in the graduating class of 2027 is preferred.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Salary is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, job location, size of property where applicable, and/or certifications. In addition to your base salary, ESRT provides discretionary annual bonuses.
