We are actively hiring Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) for on-site behavioral health opportunities throughout the Bronx and Lower Westchester region. Current openings include nursing homes, long-term care facilities, hospital-affiliated settings, and outpatient behavioral health clinics.

Requirements

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and follow-up visits
• Diagnose and manage psychiatric conditions including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, psychosis, behavioral disturbances, and chronic mental illness
• Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications based on patient needs and treatment response
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to psychiatric, medical, and psychosocial needs
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, therapists, social workers, administrators, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Support behavioral management planning and continuity-of-care coordination
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment recommendations
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within EMR systems
• Support quality psychiatric care within assigned facilities and clinical programs
• Provide care in structured on-site outpatient, hospital, or long-term care environments

Qualifications

• Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Active and unrestricted New York State Nurse Practitioner license
• DEA registration preferred or ability to obtain
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to practice independently
• Experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, nursing homes, long-term care, hospital psychiatry, or outpatient psychiatry preferred
• Experience with geriatric or medically complex populations is a plus
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Comfortable working in collaborative, multidisciplinary healthcare environments
