Responsible for receiving, unloading, and sorting delivered items from vehicles and/or containers. Verifies the quantity and quality of items received, as well as moves or delivers items received from the shipping/receiving platform into the stockroom or to a specific department.  May operate shipping/receiving equipment, such as forklifts, and maintains the appearance of the shipping/receiving platform.  Interacts with fellow team members, and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner to ensure gracious hospitality. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 

  •  Anticipate and accommodate the needs of all team members

  • Manages all incoming orders in a quick and efficient manner

  • Accurately follow specifications of the purchase order

  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of receiving areas, the kitchen, and the entire venue

  • Follow supervisor’s instructions, communicate with and support co-workers while being a team player

  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of receiving procedures and following company standard

  • Possesses general knowledge of the venue

  • Complies with the Department of Health and company sanitation standards

  • Communicates product needs to the purchaser and chefs

  • Assists with inventory

  • Properly sets up receiving station and performs opening/closing procedures as directed by management, including: 

    • Review and utilize daily purchase orders

    • Wipes down and keeps receiving areas clean, orderly, and sanitized

    • Completes opening duties as assigned or directed

    • Completes closing duties as assigned or directed

  • Reports all breakage, and damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management

  • Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings (where applicable)

  • Attends and participates in any training sessions or departmental meetings

  • Learn by listening, observing other team members, and sharing knowledge while leading by example

  • Portrays a positive and professional attitude

  • Demonstrates knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments

  • Works as part of a team and provides help and support to all fellow team members

  • Assist and/ or complete additional tasks as assigned 

 

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Tao Group Hospitality in-venue receiver training 

 

EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE: 

  • Previous receiver/stocker experience or equivalent related Tao Group Hospitality  experience preferred

  • Experience as a receiver in a high-volume operation preferred

  • Knowledge of food product preferred
