Regional OP/MAC Lead
We are seeking an Regional OP/MAC Lead to work on developing a strategic plan for space usage and location of programs and business groups. This role will report to the Sr. Director of Occupancy Planning and partner closely with the client Workplace Planner who is responsible for the overall supply-demand analysis, to successfully develop a strategic occupancy plan that accommodates the growing and diverse needs of our client. The manager also serves as the single point of contact for quality control in terms of consistency in planning processes, procedures and protocols, as well as team performance.

Role Purpose
As a Regional OP/MAC Lead, you’ll as manager to a team of occupancy planners, planning assistants and MAC team members. The leader will use data, analytical insights and strong problem-solving skills to develop and present multiple space scenarios to stakeholders. More importantly, the Regional OP/MAC Lead will need to partner closely with the client Workplace Planner to anticipate and understand the requests coming from different client groups, assess the space options available and develop options that account for competing priorties and requests. This requires strong relationship management skills along with dealing with very sensitive information. You’ll need to have a great knowledge in Corporate Real Estate. In this role, you will work with the Campus Development team and proactively drive the sizing and location of programs (client needs, amenities, campus needs) and make sure appropriate considerations and provision are made in advance.

You will serve as liaison and facilitate necessary communication between planning staff, other Jones Lang LaSalle team member, client real estate staff, as well as support vendors (architects, engineers, furniture, etc.) that may be required from time-to-time in order to deliver the services outlined (important to have “partner” mindset). Also, you will lead, develop, and manage the yearly Campus Re-stack process by leveraging demand needs and portfolio data analytics.
 

What this job involves

Key responsibilities include:
To be successful in this role, you should be able to ensure global consistency in delivery of services, by providing training and review of all deliverables; guarantee that Jones Lang LaSalle’s continually evolving “best practices” are incorporated into the work product of the entire team; and make sure a strong collaboration with other JLL service lines. We are looking for a team leader who brings out the best in their teams and exhibits managerial courage when needed.
 

On projects, as a Strategy Lead you’ll:

  • Lead campus wide projects, delegating occupancy planning project work across the collective Sr. OP and OP org.
  • Implement analytical methodologies for solving business problems to make portfolio level decisions
  • Develop insights from large scale data sets to determine impact on project goals, business goals and long term planning strategies

  • Support working sessions with internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Articulate and represent campus scenarios (with plans, data, feedback, relevant precedents, etc.) to illustrate a range of relevant solutions, based on the research, that meet client objectives
  • Guide the development of project narratives told through presentations and reports
  • Provide day-to-day direction to occupancy planning team members, and maintain the strategic direction and expectations set for the project by the client
  • Work closely with the IFM, MAC / project relocation team and client stakeholders to ensure project success â—Ź Mentor the occupancy planning team on campus strategy methodologies

Your Qualifications

  • Have a solution-oriented mindset
  • Respond proactively and thoughtfully to feedback from clients and colleagues
  • Can graphically visualize information and ideas, able to effectively use charts, and graphics to represent and communicate findings and complex ideas

Your background and experience

  • 10-12+ years of relevant professional experience post-graduation
  • 8-10+ years of experience leading occupancy planning teams
  • Undergraduate or master’s degree in architecture, interior design, environmental design, urban design, real estate, design strategy, organizational development, organizational psychology, or similar fields
  • Academic or professional experience in math, statistics, economics, computer science, engineering, or other quantitative fields is a plus
  • Expertise in data analysis, visualization, and management â—Ź Experience in working with workplace performance data and survey data

Estimated compensation for this position:

140,000.00 – 165,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
