Job Description:

This is a full-time, seasonal role running from September/October through late December/early January, depending on business needs. This role is not eligible for benefits.

YOU WILL BE: 

As the Server, you will be the primary point of contact for guests throughout their meal at the Restaurant, playing a key role in delivering an exceptional, elevated dining experience. This position requires a polished, sophisticated presence and the ability to manage tables, anticipate guest needs, and execute flawless table service with grace and efficiency in a luxury retail and dining environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Greet all guests warmly and professionally at their tables, reflecting the Bergdorf Goodman brand and service standards

• Guiding guests expertly through the menu, demonstrating deep knowledge of ingredients, preparation methods, and premium beverage pairings

• Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring seamless communication with the kitchen and bar staff regarding dietary restrictions or preferences

• Serve courses with precision, timing, and impeccable tableside etiquette to ensure optimal dining flow

• Accommodate special guest requests, VIP clients, and styling patrons with the utmost discretion and professionalism

• Monitor tables continuously to ensure guest comfort, proactively clearing courses and refilling beverages without prompting

• Process payments efficiently, accurately  and handle guest inquiries with supreme courtesy and poise

• Support opening, running, and closing side work duties to maintain a pristine, elegant dining room

WHAT YOU WILL BRING: 

• Previous server or front-of-house experience preferred; luxury or fine dining experience a plus

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to remain calm and poised in a fast-paced environment

• Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and peak retail hours

SALARY AND OTHER BENEFITS:

The hourly rate for this position is $17/hr. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include market, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Compensation for this role varies by geographic location. The listed range reflects multiple markets, including higher-cost areas. Actual starting pay will be determined based on work location, experience, and other job-related factors.
