Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol Visibility in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, faculty, staff, and visitors with exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly, respond professionally to concerns, and contribute to a welcoming campus environment. Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other campus community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and required information to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence in an educational environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
