Position Summary
The Senior Accountant plays a key role in managing and optimizing financial processes at Audiochuck. This position is responsible for financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, compliance, and process improvements to ensure the company maintains strong financial health. The Senior Accountant will provide accurate and timely financial insights to support decision-making and organizational growth.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
General Corporate Accounting: Oversees accounts payable, including invoice processing, vendor payments, cash flow management, and expense report reconciliation via Expensify; monitors accounts receivable and coordinates collections as needed; processes payroll accurately and on schedule, including tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and compliance with applicable wage and hour regulations; and performs reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, revenue streams, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, and other transactions to maintain the accuracy of the general ledger.
Sales Tax and VAT Reporting: Prepares and files sales tax returns across all applicable jurisdictions, manages VAT registration, reporting, and remittance requirements for international operations, and reconciles sales tax and VAT liability accounts on a recurring basis. Monitors changes in sales tax and VAT regulations, updates processes accordingly, and coordinates with external tax advisors as needed.
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, and provides analysis of financial performance to leadership and stakeholders.
Audit & Compliance: Supports external audits and tax preparation processes, and ensures compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies.
Process Improvement: Identifies opportunities to enhance financial processes and increase efficiency, collaborating with leadership and operations to implement improvements.
Ad Hoc Reporting & Projects: Prepares ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by leadership, supports special projects such as system implementations and process transitions, and responds to time-sensitive requests for data and insights to support business decisions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred.
2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in media, entertainment, or a fast-growing organization, or prior experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred).
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong independent problem-solving skills and proactive approach to process improvements.
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Experience or familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) for data analysis, research, or process automation preferred.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
This position operates primarily in a professional office environment with standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. The employee is expected to work in the office four days per week.
The employee must be able to communicate effectively in person, virtually, and in writing, and must be able to exchange accurate financial information in these situations.

Compensation & Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $85,000 - $100,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. This role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
