Senior Investment Management Associate | New York

Our AmLaw 100 client is building out its investment management bench in New York. The platform is known for high-end fund formation and deep Advisers Act and 1940 Act work, with a collaborative cross-office culture and direct partner access. Recent market shifts in private funds regulation keep the work sophisticated and front-page.

Role Summary

  • Lead and support hedge fund formations and related transactional work across strategies, structures, and service providers.

  • Advise on Advisers Act and Investment Company Act issues, compliance frameworks, and ongoing fund operations.

  • Coordinate across corporate, finance, tax, regulatory, and ERISA to drive timelines and close matters efficiently.

  • Work closely with partners and mentor juniors within a tight, cross-office team.

Candidate Profile

  • 5–8+ years of investment management experience with a focus on hedge fund formation and related transactions.

  • Fluent in Advisers Act and Investment Company Act. Strong drafting, research, and practical problem-solving.

  • Comfortable running workstreams and collaborating across practices; admitted in NY or immediately eligible.
