About Evvy

At Evvy, we believe the female body shouldn’t be a medical mystery.

We are a precision women’s health company leveraging the vaginal microbiome to improve outcomes across a woman's lifespan. Backed by $30M+ from leading investors, we serve over 100,000 patients and 2,000 providers nationwide with our validated Vaginal Microbiome Test and AI-powered personalized care platform.

Through this work, we have built the world’s largest dataset on the vaginal microbiome — a proprietary foundation that will drive breakthroughs in infertility, preterm birth, gynecological cancers, and beyond.

Why join now?

Evvy is a generational opportunity in women's health — and we're at the inflection point.

  • We’ve built a dataset no one has. Evvy has generated the world’s largest vaginal microbiome dataset from 100,000+ patients, uncovering novel biological markers underlying women’s health conditions that collectively cost the healthcare system $180B+ annually.

  • Validated, AI-first platform. We’ve built a comprehensive testing and care platform that unlocks personalized treatment pathways for each patient. Our work is supported by research published in major peer-reviewed journals and presented at major clinical conferences (including ACOG, ASRM, IDSOG, and more).

  • Proven traction, massive opportunity. We serve 100,000+ patients and 2,000 providers nationwide, with rapidly growing revenue and an expanding suite of diagnostics and treatments to improve outcomes across condition areas. We've only scratched the surface.

  • Top tier team, investors, and partners. Our world-class team is backed by industry leading investors, including General Catalyst, Left Lane Capital, US Fertility, and Labcorp.

We're looking for high-horsepower, mission-driven people who find it unacceptable that the female body is still a medical mystery — and want to help change that.

About the Role

We’re looking for our second data hire to partner across the full stack of Evvy’s data ecosystem. You are both a data engineer and an analyst. You are a creative problem-solver, strategic thinker, and a relentless executor. You don’t reinvent the wheel, but also are excited to break the mold of traditional BI.

You’ll collaborate closely with our tech team and leaders across finance, marketing, product, operations, and clinical to design, build, and maintain a modern data architecture that drives critical decisions, supports self-service analytics, and fuels rapid, data-driven innovation. This is a unique opportunity to own the full data stack from data engineering to analytics and insights, helping us transform vaginal healthcare through data.

Evvy is a primarily in-person team based in New York, NY. Given the cross-functional nature of this role, our ideal candidate is located in NYC.

What you’ll do

  • Own our data end-to-end. Oversee the entire data lifecycle from ingestion, transformation, data modelling, analysis, and reporting.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the “why” behind stakeholder questions, translating them into clear analytical workflows that inform decisions at all levels of the company.

  • Develop our data infrastructure. Build and maintain robust ETL pipelines, our data warehouse, and BI platform. Help explore, evaluate and integrate AI & new data technologies to continuously improve the way we use data to drive answers.

  • Empower self-service analytics. Partner with business stakeholders to understand our key business needs and build intuitive data models so teams can independently explore data and find answers to complex questions.

  • Build out our semantic layer. Partner with engineering and analytics to define and evolve the shared data and context AI tools (LLMs, agents) need to deliver accurate & trustworthy data insights

  • Conduct advanced data analytics, from LTV and retention to lab operations, to understanding clinical treatment efficacy – helping drive key decisions across the entire business

  • Establish data best practices. Champion data governance, version control (Git), rigorous documentation, and organization, ensuring our data stack scales efficiently with our growth.

What We’re Looking For

4-5 years of data analytics, analytics engineering or data engineering experience at a startup

  • Experience with ecommerce data and analytics (cohorting, waterfall visualization, LTV, retention, forecasting)

  • SQL wizard, Python experienced, data modelling expert, Git (version control) proficiency

  • Experience with and opinions on our current data stack - ETL tool like Stitch, Snowflake, DBT for data modelling, Metabase (or similar)

  • A deep understanding of the strengths and pitfalls of traditional BI teams. You have experience across the traditional BI setup, know when not to reinvent the wheel, but also when you should break the mold.

  • You’re AI-native by default and excited to integrate AI into Evvy’s data analytics workflows, continuously exploring and leveraging new technologies to improve our data stack

  • You’re an owner and a self-starter who can see the big picture of how data serves our company’s mission and guide improvements proactively.

  • You have strong written and verbal communication, able to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.

  • You understand key business concepts and can frame out analyses to answer business questions provided guidance from non-technical teammates

It’s a plus if you have

  • First or early data hire at an early stage startup

  • Experience with HIPAA and working with sensitive health data
