The OpportunityÂ
Agoda is seeking a Senior Director to lead Wholesale and Redirect business development across the Americas region, including the United States, Canada, and Latin America. You will define regional strategy, build strategic partnerships, lead complex commercial negotiations, and deliver scalable solutions that expand Agoda’s reach and drive sustainable financial growth.Â
This role works closely with Enterprise Business Development and teams across Product, Technology, Operations, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Commercial. You will also build and lead a high-performing, diverse regional team.Â
What You’ll DoÂ
Regional StrategyÂ
- Define and execute the Americas Wholesale and Redirect strategy in alignment with Agoda’s global objectives.Â
- Identify priority markets, segments, partners, and growth opportunities across the region.Â
- Build a strong pipeline while balancing near-term results with longer-term strategic opportunities.Â
Partnerships and Commercial ExecutionÂ
- Lead the full partnership lifecycle: origination, qualification, solution design, pitching, negotiation, contracting, launch, and performance management.Â
- Develop compelling, insight-led proposals and personally lead the most complex and highest-value opportunities.Â
- Establish clear objectives, success measures, investment requirements, and value-creation assumptions.Â
Solutions, Negotiation, and Business CasesÂ
- Translate partner needs into practical, scalable commercial and technical solutions.Â
- Lead multi-stakeholder negotiations covering commercial terms, economics, service levels, technology, data, risk, and strategic rights.Â
- Develop rigorous financial models and executive-ready recommendations for investment and go/no-go decisions.Â
Launch and Cross-Functional LeadershipÂ
- Maintain executive accountability from signed agreement through successful partner launch.Â
- Coordinate technical, operational, legal, commercial, and marketing workstreams, managing milestones, risks, dependencies, and escalations.Â
- Represent the Americas market in regional and global forums and influence outcomes across organizational boundaries.Â
Team and Talent LeadershipÂ
- Build and scale a high-performing Americas business development organization.Â
- Hire, coach, and develop diverse talent; establish clear goals, decision rights, operating rhythms, and succession plans.Â
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative, innovative, and performance-oriented culture.Â
What Success Looks LikeÂ
- Growth in partnership revenue, gross profit, distribution, and market share.Â
- A high-quality pipeline with strong conversion, forecast accuracy, and sales-cycle effectiveness.Â
- Successful, timely, scalable partner launches and strong partner retention and expansion.Â

- A capable, engaged, diverse team with strong performance, development, and succession depth.Â
What We’re Looking ForÂ
- 10+ years of relevant experience in business development, partnerships, commercial strategy, or strategic sales, ideally in travel, technology, distribution, platforms, or marketplaces.Â
- Experience leading complex partnerships and commercial initiatives across multiple markets, preferably in the Americas.Â
- Strong understanding of travel distribution, B2B partnerships, APIs, connectivity, or technology-enabled business models.Â
- Demonstrated success in originating, structuring, negotiating, and closing strategic partnerships.Â
- Strong financial, analytical, negotiation, communication, and executive-influence skills.Â
- Experience building and developing high-performing, diverse teams.Â
- High ownership, resilience, commercial curiosity, and comfort operating in ambiguity.Â
- Willingness to remain hands-on when leading critical opportunities.Â
