Position Summary
The Agency & Marketing Operations practice helps the world's leading brands build the systems behind modern marketing. As those brands rework their operating models around AI, in-house capabilities, changing agency relationships, and closer scrutiny of marketing investment, the practice takes on questions that are among the most consequential marketers face: how work is organized, how agencies and internal teams are managed, how spend is governed, and how creative and operational work gets delivered at scale. It is one of the ANA's most dynamic and fastest-growing communities, spanning marketing operations, in-house agencies, creative operations, agency management, and marketing procurement.

This position programs and manages four of the practice's committees and their members-only conferences, and partners on the content for two national industry conferences. It is a hands-on role for someone who wants to be inside the industry conversations that matter most to marketers right now, in the room with the senior practitioners defining where marketing operations goes next. For the right person, few roles offer this kind of access to how the best marketing organizations are built and run.

Responsibilities
Committees are client-side marketer forums that bring members together for peer-to-peer learning, benchmarking, best-practice sharing, networking, and addressing industry issues. Members come from a "who's who" roster of corporate America. This position leads the programming and content for four committees, each meeting quarterly: Agency Relations; Marketing Finance & Procurement; In-House Agency; Creative Operations.

Each of these committees also convenes a members-only conference (a focused, one-day regional event, in person). This position programs those events, developing themes, recruiting speakers, and curating content that speaks to practitioner needs.

National industry conferences are major industry events and an important public face of the ANA. Working alongside the practice lead, this position helps program and shape the content for: Advertising Financial Management Conference; and In-House Agency Conference.

Cross-practice support. This position supports the wider team as programming needs arise across the practice.

Thought leadership is a major priority for the ANA. This position contributes to the practice's thought-leadership library in areas including agency compensation, in-house agencies, optimizing the client-agency relationship, creative operations, and marketing procurement.

Day-to-day, the role includes:
  • Curating content and recruiting speakers for committee meetings, members-only conferences, and national conference sessions.
  • Coordinating high-level speaker calendars and running pre-event planning meetings and rehearsals.
  • Supporting attendee surveys, feedback collection, and post-event reporting to inform continuous improvement.
  • Partnering with the ANA's Marketing, Conference, and Sponsorship teams to align messaging and drive attendance and engagement.
Attributes/Skills Required
  • Strong interest in marketing and advertising, specifically marketing organization, agency management, and operations topics.
  • Ability to multitask, handle simultaneous projects, and manage tight deadlines is critical.
  • Must be hands-on and proactive, with a customer-service-oriented attitude.
  • Strong writing and people skills are essential.
  • Comfortable with A/V conference room technology, or quick to learn.
  • Ability to execute responsibilities in a timely fashion, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Highly motivated, organized self-starter who takes initiative to get the job done.
  • Familiarity with the following platforms a plus: OpenWater, Informz, SurveyMonkey, Alchemer, Zoom, MS Office, and MS Teams.
Qualifications/Experience Required
  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant marketing, advertising, or agency experience; agency, client-side, or association experience all relevant.
  • Working knowledge of one or more of the practice's topic areas, e.g., in-house agency management, creative and production operations, advertising financial management, marketing procurement, agency relations, or marketing operations.
  • Some domestic travel (10-20%) to conferences and events is required.
Salary and Total Rewards Package
Starting pay range:  $80,000 to $85,000, based on relevant experience and qualifications.

Comprehensive health and wellness benefits, 401k with company match, flexible scheduling, generous paid time off program, casual dress code, incentives, and rewards.
