As our Senior Marketing Designer, you will be a visual storyteller sitting at the intersection of brand marketing, editorial content, social media, and digital product experience. You will lead multi-disciplinary creative projects from concept through execution, creating high-impact visual touchpoints that elevate our brand authority and drive key business objectives. You will bring a growth mindset to our design ecosystem, anchoring your creative choices in data, user insights, and strategic reasoning.

What You’ll Do

  • Visual Storytelling & Editorial: Design narrative-driven editorial experiences, social content, email campaigns, and content-rich site pages that showcase our extraordinary inventory and seller community.
  • Campaign & Brand Execution: Own the end-to-end design for marketing campaigns, paid media, promotional initiatives, motion/video assets, and occasional print collateral (catalogs, direct mail, event assets).
  • Site & Digital Integration: Collaborate closely with Product and Marketing teams to contribute to digital site design initiatives, ensuring a seamless, on-brand journey from campaign touchpoint to platform.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively across Editorial, Merchandising, Product, and Growth teams, acting as a strong advocate for design rationale that supports overarching business goals.
  • Design Systems & Quality: Elevate team standards through constructive feedback, system-level thinking, and the thoughtful application of design best practices.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience: 4+ years of visual design experience in an in-house brand/product team or agency environment.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in brand, marketing creative, and digital site design, with clear stories of how your design choices solved specific business challenges.
  • Technical Mastery: High proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and familiarity with emerging AI tools/workflows.
  • Strategic & Autonomous Mindset: Ability to drive projects independently, articulate design reasoning clearly to stakeholders, and translate complex brand narratives into elegant visual solutions.
  • Collaborative Spirit: A genuine desire to Succeed Together by partnering cross-functionally and seeking continuous feedback.

Nice to Haves

  • Prior e-commerce marketplace experience, particularly within luxury, fine art, or high-end design sectors.
  • Hands-on experience with video editing and motion graphics/animation.

 

Our overall compensation package is made of several parts, base compensation being one of them. Total Compensation Statement 

1stDibs views the value of the employees’ compensation package in its totality. The package may comprise base salary, variable compensation (either equity or cash, where applicable), and health and work-life benefits, and is reviewed annually. Ultimately, we'll determine your pay based on your location, experience, and other job-related factors.

  • Competitive medical/dental/vision benefits, including a $0 single medical plan, with HSA employer contributions. Health plan includes gender affirmation and infertility care.
  • We are flexible with our PTO. We generally expect employees take around 15 days/year.
