ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a high-performing legal team where your expertise will directly support our IP Litigation group.  In this dynamic role, you’ll partner closely with attorneys and paralegals to effectively manage complex cases, demonstrate insight into legal procedures, and apply technologies to maximize efficiency in carrying out assignments.  From conducting in-depth research to preparing court-ready documents, your contributions will play a key role in achieving successful outcomes.   • Apply broad set of knowledge and skills to effectively manage complex cases, demonstrating insight into legal procedures, project management, cost efficiencies, and collaborative skills; effectively identify, promote, and apply technologies to maximize efficiency in carrying out assignments.
  • Manage complex cases; develop relationships, internally and externally, to gather data and information and to create networks of relevant resources and services.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize assignments appropriately; determine and implement effective organizational and procedural methods.
  • Review and analyze documents and data, perform procedural and factual research with understanding of client, matter, and business needs; provide insightful analysis, recommendations, and solutions to further case objectives.
  • Create and maintain, or oversee maintenance of, files, documents, and data.
  • Prepare and edit a range of written materials, including correspondence, memoranda, drafts of legal documents, and factual analyses.
  • Oversee and provide guidance to other paralegals and temporary staff, as needed, through training and mentoring; provide feedback as appropriate on performance.
  • Comply with administrative requirement to meet billable expectations; prepare and release timenotes on a daily basis; prepare and submit timecards on a weekly basis.

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of seven years of relevant experience in IP Litigation required
  • Trial Experience required
  • ITC Experience a plus
  • Significant experience in managing discovery requests, responses, and document production
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Strong sense of accountability, with a proactive approach to ownership and problem-solving
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to follow complex instructions accurately
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and perform effectively under pressure
  • Strong research, analytical, and data synthesis skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet client and business demands
  • Willingness to travel as required

Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, overtime as applicable, health/welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO. The range displayed is specifically for positions performed in those cities/states and may vary based on factors including but not limited to the following: local market data and ranges; an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience; and certain degrees, licensing, and certifications. 

 

New York salary range: $90k to $130k

Washington, D.C. salary range: $83k to $120k
