Who are we hiring: 

The Senior Production Coordinator will support the New York Islanders and New Jersey Devils production teams in travel coordination, budget management, financial administration, and day-to-day production operations.  In addition, this position will work closely with the Production Operations and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teams to maintain efficient, accurate, and cost-effective production practices while supporting live sports broadcasts and special events. 

This position will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of production-related activities by coordinating logistics, tracking expenses, managing billing and purchase order processes, and supporting operational workflows across multiple departments.  

 

What will you do?  

  • Coordinate all travel arrangements for the New York Islanders and New Jersey Devils production teams, including flights, accommodations, ground transportation, and logistical support. 
  • Assist in managing budgetary requirements for team production activities, including expense tracking, cost monitoring, and collaboration with Finance and FP&A departments. 
  • Review, approve, and reconcile per diem, payroll, and expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and budget guidelines. 
  • Collaborate with producers, directors, technicians, and other entities to ensure the smooth execution of production projects and broadcasts. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production expenses, invoices, purchase orders, and financial transactions. 
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and handling correspondence to support day-to-day production operations. 
  • Support the Production Operations department with financial tracking, invoice processing, expense reconciliation, and billing-related activities. 
  • Work closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis department to create, track, and manage purchase orders (POs), ensuring accurate budget allocation and timely processing of production-related expenses. 
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of workflows and processes related to travel coordination, budget management, financial reporting, and production operations.
  • Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.   

What do you need to succeed?   

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience. 
  • 2+ years of professional production experience, preferably within sports, broadcast television, or the entertainment industry. 
  • Solid understanding of the NHL and the sport of hockey, including familiarity with teams, players, and industry dynamics. 
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping, expense tracking, and reporting. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with diverse teams. 
  • Proficiency with software and tools used for travel coordination, budgeting, and project tracking. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. 
  • Familiarity with Airtable and other production management platforms. 
  • Experience with budgeting, invoice processing, purchase orders (POs), expense reconciliation, and financial tracking preferred. 
  • Experience collaborating with Finance, Accounting, or Financial Planning departments preferred. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling financial and personnel information. 
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by production schedules.
