JOB OVERVIEW:

FTAI Aviation is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to own the development of FTAI's key operational and supply technology products end to end. This ranges from understanding how the operation truly works, to defining future state, to shipping the solution and measuring impact.

The role is based in FTAI’s global HQ in New York city, with expected 5 days in the office. Some travel to other locations will be required for product design and launches.


Responsibilities:

  • Learn the business and the operation in detail from the floor up
  • Define the outcomes of each process, distinct from how it may be done today
  • Co-create the phased target-state solution with stakeholders and earn alignment across operations, engineering, and leadership
  • Translate the agreed solution into user stories and technical requirements developers can act on
  • Project-manage development, testing, and rollout — owning scope, timeline, risks, and cross-functional handoffs
  • Define success metrics up front and verify the solution moved them


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • 7+ years of product or program management experience
  • Experience with process improvement/redesign in ambiguous environments
  • Experience owning a product or program roadmap end to end — definition through delivery
  • Experience writing user stories to solve complex problems
  • Experience in an operations, manufacturing, industrial, or supply-chain environment
  • Data fluency — defining metrics, reading dashboards, and validating outcomes


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean, Six Sigma or similar
  • Experience building technical requirements and contributing to engineering discussions on technical design tradeoffs for security, latency, scalability
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry
  • Experience delivering software in a regulated or asset-heavy operating environment
  • Manufacturing, Aviation, aerospace, or MRO domain experience
  • Experience understanding data pipelines and APIs
  • Basic React/TypeScript understanding and principles of front-end design, UI & UX
