Shift Lead - Bedford

We are looking for a Full Time Shift Lead to join the team at our Bedford Avenue cafe who has excellent customer service, a strong interest in coffee, and has a willingness to learn and improve with our education and training. 

Full time is 30+ hours a week. We run a mix of 6 and 8 hour shifts. All staff need to be available one day on the weekend. We are looking for team members who are available at a minimum Saturday, Sunday and Monday. 

The rate is dependent upon experience and ranges between $18-19.25/hr. This role also earns tips.

Responsibilities:

• Providing excellent customer service. 
• Crafting beverages to our standard
• Having a good working knowledge of our coffee offerings
• Running shifts through delegation and deployment.
• Maintaining the cafe through busing tables, sweeping, and washing dishes.
  

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is a team player
• Communicates clearly with team members and management
• Has a love of speciality coffee
• Is knowledgeable on health code and can run a DOH inspection

Requirements:

• NYC Food Handlers card 
• The ability to work on your feet for 8+ hours
• Lift up to 30lbs 
• Climb stairs and ladders
• Hear audible cues and taste coffee
• You will be engaged in repetitive physical movements of the hands and wrists throughout the day.
