QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least one (1) years of experience working in residential facility working with homeless, mentally ill or substance abusers
  • New York State Security License
  • Fire Safety Coordinator License (F-02 & F-80
  • First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Proficiency in modern business communications including personal computers, electronic mail, voicemail, facsimile and copier equipment

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Supervise shift, overseeing and performing crisis intervention and addressing operational problem
  • Advice supervisor of shift specific operational problems on a timely basis
  • Supervise and perform all regular client service tasks, as well as reporting requirements
  • Schedule daily and weekly assignments and monitor functions, and participate in rotation of task assignments
  • Administer human resources functions such as coordination and evaluation of staff training, maintaining supervisory notes, facilitating regular shift team meetings, scheduling for shifts, and reviewing time sheets
  • Perform special assignments and shift-specific responsibilities as assigned by the Security Director or Operations Director, assuring provision of services and compliance 
  • Interact with difficult and sometimes abusive clients in a productive and professional manner
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods
  • Ability to sit, crouch and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, pull, push and/or move up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents
  • Ability to climb stairs
  • Ability to climb and stand on a 15-foot ladder
  • Ability to travel in the boroughs of New York City and its adjacent counties via public transportation
  • TB Test required within the first 120 days of employment
