As a Software Engineer, you will leverage the software development expertise to design, build, and implement the agentic tooling and systems. These intelligent agents will automate and scale security processes, analyze risks, detect vulnerabilities, and assist developer teams across Google in embedding security best practices throughout the entire development life cycle. Your work will be crucial in enabling Google to ship secure products more efficiently and effectively at scale.


The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of agents and infrastructure to automate security reviews, vulnerability handling, triage, and conduct variant analysis to reduce manual workloads.
  • Promote quality security practices across the organization, influencing software engineers, immediate colleagues, and across Google.
  • Partner with offensive security teams to translate the latest "red team" findings into automated detection logic and agent capabilities.
  • Work closely with information security engineers to identify and design new tools for product security consulting, response and research, especially related to AI agents.
