Groundfloor is seeking a Strategic Finance Lead to partner closely with senior leadership and drive high-impact initiatives across capital markets, product development, and corporate finance. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Development and Strategy, this role is ideal for an entrepreneurial generalist who thrives at the intersection of analysis and execution. You’ll operate with high ownership, helping shape strategy while building the systems and processes that support a scaling fintech platform.

This position is based in New York and operates on a hybrid schedule, with in-person work alongside the Director of Corporate Development and Strategy.

Groundfloor is a remote-friendly, hyper-growth, wealthtech company based out of Atlanta. We value vulnerable high-quality/low-ego collaboration. If that sounds good to you, join us!

THIS JOB MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF:

  • You enjoy switching between strategy and execution — and are equally comfortable in both.
  • You want high visibility and direct exposure to senior leadership decisions.
  • You thrive in ambiguity and like building processes from the ground up.
  • You’re excited about working across multiple business lines (lending, platform, corporate).
  • You want to have a tangible impact at a company approaching a major growth inflection.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

No two days look the same, but your work will span three key areas:

Capital Markets (Lending Business)

  • Own and maintain performance reporting for institutional partners.
  • Lead analysis for complex diligence requests tied to financing, securitization, and investment partnerships.
  • Build and scale reporting and execution processes for new capital markets relationships.

Corporate Finance

  • Act as a bridge between finance and business units to ensure alignment across teams.
  • Drive strategic financial insights that inform company-wide decisions.
  • Lead initiatives to modernize and digitize lending data and FP&A infrastructure.

Product Development & Portfolio (Investment Platform)

  • Conduct diligence on new investment products, counterparties, and originations.
  • Partner with platform leadership to launch and operationalize new products.
  • Develop frameworks to monitor and analyze portfolio performance.

YOUR EXPERIENCE + A FEW NICE TO HAVES:

Required Experience

  • 4–6+ years in finance or fintech (banking or private credit preferred).
  • Strong foundation in at least one:
    • Asset-Based Lending (ABL), as a borrower or lender
    • Startup or high-growth environment experience
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to synthesize cross-functional inputs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in private credit or real estate lending.
  • Exposure to capital markets transactions (e.g., securitizations, secured credit facilities).
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new systems.
Salary Range
$120,000—$150,000 USD
