About the Role


Stratus recently partnered with PVEDI and is seeking a Structural Assistant Project Manager who plays a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of structural engineering projects from inception through completion. This position involves coordinating project activities, supporting multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with design specifications, project schedules, budgets, and regulatory requirements. The Structural Assistant Project Manager will collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to facilitate communication, resolve project issues, and support the successful execution of structural projects. Ultimately, this role helps ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards throughout the United States.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in structural engineering or construction project management.
  • Familiarity with structural design principles, construction methods, and applicable building codes, including IBC and AISC.
  • Experience using project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar platforms.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
  • Experience using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software such as Revit or Tekla Structures.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction site safety requirements.
  • Experience supporting structural engineering projects within a consulting or construction environment.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or related project management training.

Responsibilities


  • Assist the Project Manager with planning, coordinating, and delivering structural engineering projects from design through construction.
  • Coordinate project activities with engineers, architects, contractors, clients, and other project stakeholders.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to support successful project delivery.
  • Review structural drawings, calculations, and project documentation for accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and project requirements.
  • Support project risk management by identifying potential issues and assisting in the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, change orders, and project records.
  • Facilitate communication among project stakeholders to ensure timely decision-making and project alignment.
  • Assist with procurement activities, consultant coordination, and vendor management related to structural engineering projects.
  • Participate in project meetings, site visits, and construction observations as required.
