We’re looking for a Senior Vice President, Head of Investments Events to lead the global events function for BNY Investments. This is a senior, highly visible role — one that sits at the intersection of strategy, client relationships and brand. You’ll develop and execute an events program that deepens connections with our clients, elevates the BNY Investments brand and drives commercial outcomes across institutional, intermediary and wealth client segments.

You’ll oversee a global portfolio of events and experiences across the Americas, EMEA (including the UK), working closely with senior leaders across Distribution, Marketing, Product, Investment Management and Executive Leadership. You’ll lead a talented, high-performing global team with a shared commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences — ones that reflect what we stand for: being client-obsessed and delivering differentiated investment insights that make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the global events strategy, ensuring it supports the commercial and brand objectives of BNY Investments.

  • Lead, mentor and grow a high-performing team across the United States, United Kingdom and EMEA — fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and operational excellence.

  • Own the strategic planning and execution of a broad portfolio of events, including:

    • BNY-hosted client forums

    • Executive roundtables

    • Investment roadshows

    • Thought leadership programs

    • Client appreciation experiences

    • Third-party conferences and strategic partnerships

    • Industry trade shows

    • Sponsorship activations

  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Investments, Distribution, Marketing, Product Management, Investment Specialists and Executive Leadership — ensuring every event is firmly aligned to business priorities.

  • Partner with leaders across BNY Investments’ specialist investment boutiques to create client experiences that genuinely showcase our investment expertise and intellectual leadership.

  • Design event strategies that support client acquisition and retention, brand awareness and revenue growth.

  • Establish clear measurement frameworks and KPIs to evaluate event effectiveness, client engagement, pipeline influence and return on investment.

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, agency management, procurement and vendor negotiations — maintaining strong governance and financial discipline throughout.

  • Use technology, data and attendee insights to continuously improve the client experience.

  • Ensure flawless execution while meeting all regulatory, compliance and risk management standards across our global events calendar.

  • Partner with internal communications, digital marketing and content teams to maximize the impact of every engagement — before, during and after the event.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in event marketing, client engagement or experiential marketing within financial services or asset management.

  • Demonstrated success managing high-visibility internal and external events with senior executive and client-facing audiences.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational discipline, and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience managing event budgets, vendor relationships, contracts, and production logistics.
  • Ability to work both strategically and tactically, with a hands-on approach to execution.
  • Strong relationship management skills and the ability to influence across teams and levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with event planning tools, Microsoft Office applications, and collaboration platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI-powered productivity tools efficiently to enhance planning, execution, communications, and operational effectiveness, including the ability to craft clear, effective prompts to generate high-quality outputs.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as needed, to support the priority events.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience within asset management, investment management or financial services.

  • A strong understanding of institutional, intermediary and wealth management client segments.

  • Experience partnering directly with senior investment leaders, portfolio managers, distribution executives and executive leadership.

  • Global event management experience spanning the U.S., UK and EMEA.

  • Familiarity with sponsorship strategy, conference marketing and strategic partnership management.

  • Experience in a matrixed global organization with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to streamline workflows, improve productivity, and support content development, event communications, and planning processes.
