We are hiring a full-time Tax Senior Associate to join our growing Tax team. The ideal candidate will be based out of our New York City or Parsippany, NJ office, operating on a flexible, hybrid schedule depending on their location. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

ï‚§ Prepare complex projections, provisions and returns with accuracy and according to firm policies
ï‚§ Take responsibility for client work being performed on time, appropriate scope of services and within budget
ï‚§ Involvement in tax planning
ï‚§ Begins to review tax returns, organize work papers, maintain open item list, and conduct self-review of work before submission to reviewer
ï‚§ Ability to organize facts, analyze, interpret information, and perform research
ï‚§ Identify and develop alternatives for issues and consult with in-charge and/or partner
 Master firm’s tax software, research technology tools and related products to accomplish work efficiently
ï‚§ Proactively manage assignments, clients, and workload

 

Qualifications:

Must be motivated, have the ability to multi-task and be organized. Maintain a positive attitude; be cooperative and flexible about the type of work assigned and in assisting other team members with assignments. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

ï‚§ 3-5 years of work experience in public accounting
ï‚§ B.A./B.S. degree in Accounting
ï‚§ Comprehensive understanding of tax law
 Experience preparing Form 990 for nonprofit clients 
ï‚§ Proficient in preparing individual (1040) tax returns and some business returns.
ï‚§ EA or CPA license and/or MST are preferred
