Job Objective: The Taxable Fixed Income Trader and Senior Portfolio Associate will be responsible for trading and managing investment-grade bond portfolios for high-net-worth and institutional clients, with a focus on short- to intermediate-duration strategies. This role requires a strong relative value orientation, and the ability to operate independently within a collaborative, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage and execute trades for short to intermediate duration and cash management mandates
· Ongoing monitoring of issuers
· Construct and maintain portfolios aligned with client objectives, risk tolerance, and income needs
· Independently generate alpha-producing buy/sell ideas through relative value and fundamental credit analysis
· Collaborate with internal teams to support client portfolios and reporting
· Participate in select client discussions as needed
Job Requirements
· 5–10 years of relevant experience in taxable fixed income
· 3-5 years of taxable, investment-grade, portfolio management experience
· Ability to analyze investment-grade credits
· Experience working with SMA and high-net-worth clients
· CFA designation or Master’s Degree preferred
· Ability to work independently and exercise sound investment judgment
· Strong communication and organizational skills
The ideal candidate will have extensive trading experience in US Treasury and corporate securities using electronic platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual currently trading/managing money market or cash reserve accounts to expand into portfolio management.
The expected base salary range for this position is $165,000 to $225,000, with a bonus based on individual and firm performance. Total compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, and overall contribution.
The actual base compensation offered will be determined by various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant years of experience, career progression, qualifications, educational background, certifications or professional licenses, and role-specific skills. Base salary represents one element of Silvercrest’s comprehensive compensation package, which also includes robust benefits and may include incentive-based compensation.
