Who we’re looking for: ÂWe are seeking a Social Media Associate Director with experience in campaign management, is a vocal and engaged leader on their client and functional teams and have shown the ability to carry out strategy through structuring and planning. Associate Directors are direct managers of the Social Supervisors and oversee the holistic team members on their account, taking responsibility, along with the account Supervisors for guiding their growth. Â

Social Associate Directors own the Social function on their book of clients and assist in leading the function for their region. This includes developing overall paid media strategy, helping to grow the client’s business through additional Social channels and ensuring team execution meets and exceeds client expectations. Â

Team LeadershipÂ
Determine how to use Social resources most efficiently Â
Effectively manage and lead all Social team members on particular client team(s)Â
Identify training and development needs of client team and broader functional teamÂ
Build training materials and determine how to effectively implement with the client team and broader functional team; receive consistent feedback on needs from teamsÂ
Develop processes, methodologies, best practices and frameworks for client team and broader functional team; work with team members to ensure they are being usedÂ
Consulting with individual client teams as needed to ensure best practices are being used and to brainstorm new approaches to achieving client goalsÂ
Lead hiring process for Social team members on their client teamÂ
Oversight for on-boarding new clients within their office locationÂ
Ensure integration with other functional teamsÂ

Grow BusinessÂ
Determine how to increase and expand paid media services for their clients for any objective depending on client KPIÂ
Help identify and test new channels and products, highlighting results and sharing across organization and externallyÂ
Ensure Social strategy aligns with client’s overall business goals and merchandise impact Â
Help business development team develop and present pitches, including providing oversight and guidance to junior team members assisting with the processÂ

TrainingÂ
Owns Social portion of new hire training and onboarding, including:Â
Coordination with HRÂ
Ensure all materials are up-to-date and all trainings have presentersÂ
Coaches and evaluates presenters to make sure they are effectiveÂ
Determines new trainings that need to be developed and trainings that should be updated, conducts surveys and focus groups to maximize effectivenessÂ
Develops and provides feedback for onboarding processÂ
Develops and ensures certification exams are effectiveÂ
Leads roll-out and adoption plan for new processes, strategies, etc. developed across client teamsÂ
InnovationÂ
Identifies and develops new processes, strategies, frameworks, etc.Â
Meets with client teams regularly to identify new management approaches, processes, optimization techniques, etc. to determine if appropriate to leverage across all client teamsÂ
Helps pilot new approaches with client teams to refine and ensure viabilityÂ
Meets with Content and Analytics functional leads to identify opportunities for integration, processes to leverage, etc.Â
Alpha/Beta testsÂ
Keeps track of alphas and betas being tested across client teams, encourages sharingÂ
Ensures learnings and insights are captured and shared across client teamsÂ
Provides oversight to client teams on testing approach, analyzing results, and merchandising internally and externallyÂ
POVsÂ
Leads development of POVs related to new products and enhancements related to existing PHD Social products and servicesÂ

Product & Service Development:Â
New External Channels/ProductsÂ
Identifies and evaluates new channels and productsÂ
Recommends clients to test new channels and productsÂ
Maintains central repository of information on channels/products, testing completed, results, recommendations for client types, etc.Â
Internal Products & ServicesÂ
Helps with product marketing for existing Social servicesÂ
Project manages development and testing of products and servicesÂ
Identifies new products/services being delivered by client teams and determines potential to provide at agency levelÂ
Â
Partner Relations:Â
TechnologyÂ
Main point of contact for technology partners – competitive and campaign managementÂ
Identify and evaluate new technology providers in the spaceÂ
Develop proposals for new providers recommended for the agencyÂ
Maintain repository of information about technology partnersÂ
Update technology RFIs/comparisons on periodic basisÂ
Point of escalation for technology related issuesÂ
Responsible to ensure all client teams are informed about new providers or updates to existing technologiesÂ
Subject matter expert for client team questions, new business, sister agencies, etc.Â
Â
Social NetworksÂ
Main point of contact for social networksÂ
Oversee Insertion Order creation and processÂ
Point of escalation for engine related issuesÂ
Manage logins, ensure complianceÂ
Responsible to ensure all client teams are informed of new products and engine enhancementsÂ
Coordinate presentations from providers for Social team or broader agencyÂ
Coordinate QBR from key engine partnersÂ
Coordinate with training lead on related certificationsÂ

Refine Social Supervisor’s + social team’s insights and actions (implications) that demonstrate a thorough understanding of the client’s goalsÂ
Ability to develop cross channel performance strategies across all objectives including brand awareness, consideration and conversionÂ

Staying up to date on industry trends and partner updatesÂ

What you’ll need to succeed:Â
Bachelor’s degree or relevant post-secondary education, training, or equivalent experienceÂ
5+ years business experience including hands on keyboard building and/or managing accounts in the paid social marketing and/or interactive advertising space.  Â
Be a proactive self-starterÂ
Possess general knowledge of direct and brand marketing principles and strategiesÂ
Have a deep understanding of the interactive marketing landscapeÂ
Have polished presentation, communication, and analytical skills Â
Have strong organizational skills, being able to manage multiple projects at once  Â
Have online media sales and/or interactive ad agency experience Â
Know the difference between features and benefits and how to sell and deliver value!Â

$70,000 - $125,000
Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.
