JOB SUMMARY:
CFSB is a full-service payments, lending and banking provider that delivers global financial services through a personal approach. The VP, Data Quality Issue Management (DQIM) Manager, is accountable for identifying, triaging, and remediating data quality issues to ensure data is complete, accurate, and valid. The DQIM Manager maintains and enforces data quality issue management policies and frameworks, ensuring adherence to data quality policies, standards, and procedures that support data integrity and quality across the organization. The DQIM Manager serves as a liaison between business and IT by facilitating working sessions to perform root cause analysis (RCA), classify and prioritize data quality issues, and provide ongoing monitoring and reporting.
This role is not available for visa sponsorship now or in the future (H1B, OPT Student Visa, CPT, etc).Â
This role is also open for remote work in select states or hybrid in New York, NY.Â
Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end data quality issue management lifecycle (intake, logging, triage, assignment, development, implementation, remediation and closure)Â
- Define and maintain the DQIM operating model (processes, controls, governance forums, escalation paths)Â
- Establish and enforce issue classification and prioritization criteria (severity, impact, regulatory risk, etc.)Â
- Facilitate business/IT working sessions to perform root cause analysis (RCA) and develop remediation plansÂ
- Track remediation progress, validate fixes, and ensure sustainable corrective/preventive actionsÂ
- Develop and maintain DQIM policies, procedures, and documentation; ensure adoption across the organizationÂ
- Partner with Data Owners/Stewards, Technology, and Risk/Compliance for accountability and audit-ready evidenceÂ
- Maintain dashboards and KPI/KRI reporting on volume, aging, severity, recurrence, and effectiveness; provide exec updatesÂ
- Administer and optimize DQIM tooling and workflows (e.g., JIRA/Confluence and data governance platforms)Â
- Identify trends/systemic control gaps and recommend preventative controls and monitoring improvements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills, including SQL and hands-on data exploration to define metrics and guide optimization of data quality rules
- Knowledge of core banking data domains; familiarity with sponsorship banking concepts is a plusÂ
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready documentation and presentations
- Proven ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders across Business, Technology, and Risk/Compliance
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Education, Training, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in DataAnalytics, Information Systems, Finance, Business, or a related field (master’s preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, risk, or compliance (financial services preferred)
- Demonstrated experience managing an issue management lifecycle (intake, triage, prioritization, remediation tracking, validation, and closure) with clear SLAs and evidence
- Experience managing data quality issue backlogs in JIRA using Kanban boards; JIRA certification is a plus
- Experience facilitating root cause analysis (RCA) and driving sustainable corrective and preventive actions across business and technology teamsÂ
