Position Overview

We are seeking our first VP, Enterprise Data to lead the execution and evolution of our enterprise data strategy, driving measurable business impact across our global network. This role will position data as a core driver of growth, performance, and decision-making across the organization.


This role will oversee the execution of our data modernization roadmap, including architecture, governance, and analytics, ensuring data is trusted, accessible, and actionable. Partnering closely with commercial, product, marketing, and technology teams, you will translate data into scalable products, insights, and capabilities that drive personalization, loyalty, and revenue growth.


As a senior leader, you will build and lead high-performing teams, foster a culture of accountability and data-driven decision making, and serve as a trusted partner to the executive leadership team.


This is a full-time position located in New York City. We offer flexible workplace policies that allow for working remotely 3 days a week and require being in our NYC office 2 days a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays).


Key Responsibilities


Execute & Evolve Data Strategy

  • Execute and continuously refine the enterprise data strategy aligned to commercial growth, member value, and long-term business priorities
  • Establish data as a core enterprise capability across loyalty, personalization, distribution, and network intelligence
  • Identify and prioritize high-impact data use cases that drive measurable business outcomes
  • Partner with executive leadership to ensure data strategy is embedded into overall business and digital strategy

Modernize the Data Ecosystem

  • Lead the modernization of data architecture, engineering, integration, and governance across the organization
  • Provide technical leadership to the teams responsible for building and maintaining the enterprise data ecosystem, ensuring high-quality execution, scalable architecture, and alignment with business priorities
  • Advance a scalable, cloud-based data platform to support real-time and advanced analytics use cases
  • Define and operationalize the distinction between operational (EDP) and analytical (EDW) environments
  • Enable the foundation for AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics at scale
  • Ensure interoperability and integration across internal systems and external partner platforms


Build World-Class Data Capabilities

  • Establish enterprise data governance, ownership, and stewardship models across key domains
  • Improve data quality, lineage, accessibility, and trust to support decision-making at all levels
  • Design and scale a high-performing data organization, including talent, structure, and operating model
  • Align data initiatives and investments with clear KPIs and measurable business impact
  • Build capabilities in AI, automation, and data product development
  • Coach and develop technical leaders while establishing clear accountability, delivery expectations, and operating discipline across the organization.


Drive Business Impact

  • Translate guest, member, partner, and market data into actionable insights and scalable data products
  • Enable personalization, loyalty optimization, pricing, and broader commercial performance initiatives
  • Support data-driven decision-making across commercial, product, and operational teams
  • Champion data fluency and adoption across leadership and the broader organization

Qualifications and Skills


Experience & Industry Knowledge

  • Experience in hospitality, travel, consumer, marketplace, membership, loyalty, or other data-rich customer-focused business models preferred
  • Familiarity with distribution ecosystems (e.g., GDS, OTAs, loyalty platforms, channel management)
  • Experience working in marketplace or platform-based businesses leveraging data for growth and partner performance
  • Strong understanding of network economics and multi-entity data models (guest, member, partner)
  • Experience operating in global, complex organizations with varying levels of data maturity


Technical Expertise

  • Proven ability to translate enterprise data into scalable data products and decision platforms
  • Deep experience with modern cloud data architectures (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS/GCP ecosystems)
  • Strong knowledge of data engineering, data governance, and scalable platform design
  • Fluency in analytics, reporting, and machine learning applications
  • Experience operationalizing AI and advanced analytics within commercial or customer-facing use cases


Leadership & Strategic Skills

  • Technical enterprise data leader with strong strategic judgment, business acumen, and a demonstrated ability to execute complex transformation initiatives
  • Proven success leading technical and data transformations within complex, matrixed organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and evaluate high-performing technical teams, including data engineering, platform, architecture, and governance functions
  • Experience advising senior executives, including CEO-level stakeholders, and influencing strategic business decisions
  • Strong emotional intelligence and executive presence, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholder groups and translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to foster a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and data-driven decision making


Compensation

Annualized Base Salary Range: $250,000 - $300,000

Target Annual Incentive bonus: up to 40% 

**Salary is determined by individual candidate's skills, experience, and location.
