Warehouse Handler - Forklift Experience

The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a renowned logistics and warehousing organization, and we are looking for a skilled and experienced Warehouse Handler with Forklift experience to care for and protect valuable fine art, antiques, and luxury assets, at its Brooklyn, NY location.

As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a critical role in the safe handling, storage, and movement of high-value collections within a state-of-the-art, fully temperature-controlled facility, while adhering to established standards and environment protocols.

What You’ll Do

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents
  
• Safely load, unload, transport, and position artwork, antiques, and other high-value goods using forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks
  
• Organize and store inventory in designated locations while maintaining optimal accessibility and preservation standards.
  
• Prepare, package, and stage outgoing shipments with a focus on accuracy, protection, and quality & in compliance with shipping standards
  
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused warehouse environment.
  
• Perform routine inventory counts and report discrepancies to management
  
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support daily warehouse operations and ensure exceptional service standards.
  
• Adhere to all safety, security, and environmental protocols designed to protect valuable collections and assets.
  

What We Are Looking For

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
  
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
  
• Basic knowledge of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
  
• Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar material-handling equipment (certification preferred but not required).
  
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow established processes and instructions accurately.
  
• Forklift operator certification.
  
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, shipping, receiving, or inventory environment.
  
• Familiarity with inventory management systems, barcode scanners, and warehouse technology.
  
• Basic computer proficiency for inventory tracking, data entry, and operational reporting.
  
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

• Physical strength and stamina to safely and efficiently move, lift, and handle materials throughout the workday
  
• Strong attention to detail is essential for verifying shipments, organizing inventory, and accurately preparing orders to minimize errors
  
• The ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, requires technical proficiency and strict adherence to safety procedures to avoid accidents
  
• Effective communication skills support teamwork and coordination with supervisors to achieve operational objectives
  
• Experience with inventory management systems enhances the ability to track stock, identify and report discrepancies, and support efficient warehouse operations
