About The Opportunity
The Watchmaker at Fashionphile plays a vital dual role combining authentication expertise with hands-on repair capabilities. This position goes beyond traditional watchmaking, our Watchmaker is a key quality-control facilitator, responsible for verifying the authenticity of luxury timepieces, performing repairs and servicing, and ensuring every watch that passes through our doors meets Fashionphile's high standards before reaching our customers. This role also requires occasional customer-facing interaction, supporting our showroom teams and providing expert guidance to both internal staff and clients. Responsibilities include:
Authenticating and assessing all timepieces, verifying all components, serial numbers, and conditions. Includes full inspection and quality control checks.
Performing repairs, including battery replacements, movement replacements, link adjustments, and full services of mechanical, automatic, quartz, and chronograph watches.
Evaluating timepieces requires more extensive work and coordinating with appropriate vendors as needed.
Assisting in developing Authentication Training Guides and supporting the training of authentication team members and other departments.
Assisting retail teams with watch adjustments and sizing, supporting CX teams with watch-related inquiries, and engaging professionally with customers when needed.Â

What We’re Looking For
High School or GED
Graduate Watchmaker, WOSTEP, AWCI, SAWTA or equivalent
Minimum two years recent experience in the watchmaking field
Customer service, sales or some customer interaction experience
Experience repairing mechanical, quartz, automatic and chronograph watches
Excellent vision or corrected vision
Excellent time management and organizational skills Â
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability maintaining a clean and organized workspace
Ability to handle unique and complex situations
Proficient at working with technology

Pay Scale: FASHIONPHILE reasonably expects the range to be $65-85K for this position.
