The department of Urban Studies and Environmental Studies is hiring part-time lecturers for courses in sustainable urban policy and planning, the intersectionality of urban planning and social/environmental justice, urban systems and processes in the Global South, and geographical information systems (GIS).
Given the interdisciplinary nature of the department, teacher-scholars with the appropriate expertise in urban studies from a range of social science disciplines and interdisciplinary fields including geography, political science, public policy, planning, ethnic studies, and environmental studies are welcome to apply. Â
Other responsibilities include meeting with students one-on-one in office hours, assessing all student work, attending training and faculty development events, and submitting final grades to the Registrar’s office.
A PhD is preferred, but candidates with a master’s degree will be considered.

Minimum salary is $ 2,517 per unit taught.
