Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair commercial and industrial gas and oil burners
- Service and troubleshoot commercial boiler systems
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and equipment tune-ups
- Conduct combustion analysis and optimize burner performance
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, combustion, and control systems
- Repair and replace pumps, motors, nozzles, ignition systems, controls, and related components
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Perform equipment startup and commissioning
- Complete service documentation and maintenance reports
- Respond to emergency service calls as part of an on-call rotation
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA requirements and applicable codes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial gas/oil burner service experience
- Strong knowledge of commercial boilers and burner systems
- Experience troubleshooting electrical controls and combustion systems
- Working knowledge of hydronic and steam heating systems
- Experience with combustion analysis and emissions testing preferred
- Building Automation Systems (BAS) experience is a plus
- Valid gas/oil burner technician license or certification, where required
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Trade school, apprenticeship, or equivalent technical training preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
