The Academy of Mount St. Ursula, an all-girls Catholic high school conducted in the Ursuline tradition and located in the Bronx, needs a science teacher for the upcoming school year, September 2026 - June 2027. We are a diverse school community, and we welcome applicants of all faiths.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Regents Living Environment (Biology), AP Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, and/or Earth Science
- Prepare students for Regents and AP exams
- Deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons with hands-on lab experiences
- Differentiate instruction and monitor student progress
- Incorporate and support AMSU's Catholic values and mission in teaching and interactions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Science Education, or related field (Master's preferred)
- NYS Science Teaching Certification (required)
- Regents/AP teaching experience preferred
- Strong classroom management skills
