ABOUT THE ROLEĀ
The Platform OperationsāÆteam, with membersĀ locatedĀ in Canada, the US, Ireland, Poland, and India, performs critical functions onĀ InnocapāsĀ dedicated managed account platforms (āDMAsā). The team's primary responsibilities include performing complex funds reconciliations, margins & OTC collateral management as well as OTC derivatives settlement.āÆĀ
The Platform Operations Department is currently looking for an Associate to join its team and support the platform growth. The candidate will have the unique opportunity to work closely with hedge fund asset managers, clearing and OTC counterparties, and administrators.āÆĀ
The Associate in Platform Operations has the following main responsibilities:Ā
Monitor cash and margin balancesĀ in accordance withĀ margin rulesĀ establishedĀ with each client.Ā
Diligently perform all OTC collateral management activities.Ā
Review position reconciliation and liaise with counterparties, assetĀ managersĀ and administrators to resolve any discrepancy.Ā
With theĀ assistanceĀ of our senior team members, investigate reconciliation breaks and seek resolution.Ā
Initiate or review and approve cash movement and OTC settlements.Ā
Support senior members of the team in funds launches & liquidations.Ā
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLSĀ
University degree in finance or related field.Ā
Desired seniority level: minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Operations, Middle-OfficeĀ or related fields.Ā
Basic to intermediate understanding of the financial markets,Ā instruments,Ā and key processes.Ā
Basic to intermediate knowledge of financial products, such as equity, fixed income, foreign exchange, listed derivatives, and OTC derivatives.Ā
Basic to intermediate knowledge and experience with reconciliation of positions and understanding of break resolution process.Ā
Experience in margin and collateral management process & calculations is an asset.Ā
Analytical and detail-oriented, resourceful withĀ abilityĀ to manage workĀ in a timely manner.Ā
Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skillsĀ
Team-orientedĀ professionalsĀ with problem-solving and critical thinking skills in development.Ā
