Distribution Associate

Job Description:

Performs diversified distribution duties supporting hospital material operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Picks and places supplies in delivery carts for distribution throughout hospital.
• Distributes supplies to various inventory locations throughout hospital, according to established policies and procedures.
• Receives and responds to requests from departments for miscellaneous required items.
• Maintains inventory levels in Material Operations department and at assigned inventory locations throughout hospital. Utilizes handheld scanner device to electronically record inventory levels.
• Maintains clean and safe work environment in department and at all inventory locations, according to established policies and procedures.
• Records daily activities by completing appropriate paperwork and/or entering information into department computer system.
• Performs related duties, as required.

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Prior related experience, preferred.
• Ability to perform data entry in department computer system, required.
• Ability to lift/carry material in excess of 50 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, lift and/or reach for extended periods of time.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
