What You'll DoÂ
Digital Media Strategy – 15% Â
Collaborate with Supervisor on strategy, guiding Assistant(s) and Associate(s) in plan development Â
Employ Horizon Media’s suite of planning, evaluation and buying tools for application/analysis into competitive landscape, target digital consumption support, plan development and reportingÂ
Ensure digital strategy fits into overall brand communication goalsÂ
Participate in team brainstorms to kick off plan and consideration set development Â
Monitor trends, tools, opportunities, and applications within digital environments, and appropriately apply that knowledge to campaign strategy and client goalsÂ
Guide and participate in creation and presentation of media specific documents, such as media plans, objectives and strategy decks, and other related functionsÂ
Media Negotiating & Buying – 30%Â
Gather rates and develop planning costsÂ
Effectively negotiate & steward buys across multiple accountsÂ
Analyze daypart mixes and pricing within plansÂ
Serve as a market expert, providing insight to the marketplace conditions, continuously exploring understanding of industry trends and landscape intel Â
Manage budgets and deliverables (GRPs, impressions, response data) across national buysÂ
React quickly to campaign results, and implement required optimizations as directedÂ
Oversee and assist in RFP creation and review of partners/site responses, compile proposal analysis and drive partner negotiations Â
Campaign Management & Execution – 20%Â
Oversee trafficking, campaign set up, site tagging, and ensure sites are enabled and functioning properlyÂ
Ensure accuracy of insertion orders, plan details, spec documents, and confirmation that all necessary materials are receivedÂ
Delegate and provide direction on campaign post launch information (i.e. screenshots, links and placement information) to demonstrate proof of placement for clientsÂ
Work alongside Assistant and Associate on mid-campaign reconciliation, billing, pacing, campaign validation and brand safetyÂ
Manage market budgets and deliverables (GRPs, impressions, response data)Â
React quickly to campaign results, and implement required optimizations as directedÂ
Assist account manager with budget maintenance and clearance spreadsheets and other campaign dataÂ
Ensure all deals are delivering throughout the flightÂ
Participate in campaign results meetings/calls with client and strategy teamsÂ
Reporting & Analysis - 20%Â
Monitor and report on media campaigns on an ongoing basis, providing an active voice communicating optimization opportunities and challenges to internal teams, media partners and the clientÂ
Interpret partner ad verification and ad server data to provide critical thinking and analysis, as well as draw conclusions and discover actionable implicationsÂ
Responsible for providing data for dashboards/Excel trackers, as needed by account, ensuring accuracy and validity of data shownÂ
Effectively communicate optimization strategies, challenges, and opportunities across display, mobile, social, and videoÂ
Analyze MSAs and delivery reports from partners on a quarterly basis to deliver the post report to the Business Solutions teamÂ
Reconciliation – 5%Â
Keep track of reconciliation progress Â
Responsible for checking monthly actual numbers are aligned to reported numbersÂ
Relationship Management & Mentorship-Â 10%Â
Help to train Assistants and Associates and contribute to their developmentÂ
Have foresight and understanding of projects to maintain and adjust timing of deliverables for team at large, communicating changes to managers and leadershipÂ
Develop and maintain strong mutually beneficial relationships with Horizon Media departments (Business Solutions, Traffic, Ad Ops, Billing), as well as external partnersÂ
Effectively manage up and down, collaborate with your Supervisor on day-to-day account activities, status, and deliverablesÂ
Guide team in setting goals, project tasks and timelinesÂ
Oversee junior team members’ duties in negotiating and maintaining schedules/campaigns for several accountsÂ
Schedule check ins with junior team members, identifying goals and opportunities for career development, contribute to performance management Â
Participate in interview process for Assistant/Associate rolesÂ

Preferred Skills & Experience  Â
Experience working in fast-paced advertising/marketing environmentÂ
3+ years of experience in active buying and planningÂ
Understanding of national buying across the linear and digital landscapeÂ
Strong experience analyzing and managing buys towards campaign performance metrics Â
Proficient in Media Math  Â
Experience using PrismaÂ
Knowledge of various channels and buying methods (video, display, programmatic, social)Â
Familiarity with marketing principles, analytics and conceptsÂ
Confidence within Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and PowerPointÂ
Experience in negotiating and constructing digital media plans Â
Competence within systems and tools related to the media planning process (i.e. media management system, billing system, competitive and targeting tools)Â
Mastery of third-party ad server and ad verifications (DCM, Double Verify, Innovid preferred)Â

Salary Range
$64,350.00 - $80,000.00A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual’s skill sets, experience, training, education,  licensure/certifications, and qualifications for the role. As an organization, we take an aptitude and competency-based hiring approach. We provide a competitive total rewards package including a discretionary bonus and a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, company paid holidays and unlimited paid time off (PTO), mental health and wellness resources, pet insurance, childcare resources, identity theft insurance, fertility assistance programs, and fitness reimbursement.
