Position Overview The Part-Time, On-Call Site Kitchen Assistant is responsible for supporting the on-site lead in managing day-to-day food service operations within corporate offices for 20-30 hours a week. Primary duties include meal preparation, food presentation, and ensuring a positive guest experience. This flexible role requires providing support across various client sites as required. The Part-Time, On-Call Site Kitchen Assistant plays a vital part in delivering the Green Top Farms experience by facilitating seamless meal services and providing guests with reliable, top-tier hospitality. Responsibilities Daily Meal Service & Guest Experience (45%) Support day-to-day food service operations within corporate environments, ensuring rigorous standards for culinary quality, thoughtful plating, and meticulous station organization and breakdown Uphold Green Top Farms standards by ensuring every plate meets rigorous requirements for culinary quality, thoughtful portioning, and meticulous visual appeal Maintain a warm, professional, and hospitality-first presence while interacting with guests to deliver a reliable and top-tier dining experience Demonstrate composure and resourcefulness by remaining attentive to the pace of service, assisting with real-time operational adjustments and station needs Food Safety & Standards (20%) Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace by strictly following all food safety and handling guidelines throughout your shift. Adhere to standard operating procedures for food prep, service, and station maintenance to ensure consistency and safety. Perform daily cleaning tasks and safety checks to help the team remain fully compliant with health and safety regulations at each location. Inventory & Stock Support (15%) Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries, ensuring all items are stored correctly and rotated (FIFO) to maintain freshness and minimize waste. Help track daily food usage and conduct inventory counts, accurately reporting low stock levels and supply needs to the kitchen lead or manager. Carefully inspect incoming orders against delivery slips, promptly flagging any damaged items, shortages, or quality discrepancies. Teamwork and Service Support (10%) Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain personal accountability for punctuality and professional conduct. Support the onboarding of new staff by modeling correct service standards, following kitchen procedures, and sharing best practices. Listen to guest feedback during service and promptly relay comments or concerns to the kitchen lead to help maintain high-quality service. Adapt to the needs of the kitchen, taking on additional tasks as requested to support the team and ensure every meal service is a success. Flexibility & Operational Support (10%) Stay flexible and composed when handling last-minute menu changes, schedule updates, or shifting priorities, quickly adapting to ensure service remains on track. Keep your assigned work areas organized and tidy, while proactively identifying ways to help daily kitchen tasks run more efficiently QualificationsRequired Qualifications 1+ years of experience in a kitchen, catering, or hospitality environment (experience in both Front and Back of House is a plus). Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, helpful attitude toward guests and coworkers. Ability to work quickly and stay focused under pressure, efficiently handling tasks like prep, plating, and cleaning during busy service windows. A keen eye for detail, ensuring plates are presented neatly and workstations remain organized and sanitary. Physical stamina to remain standing for the duration of a shift and the ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. A professional, tidy appearance suitable for high-end corporate office environments. Comfortable using basic technology, such as apps for time tracking or company communication. Strong work ethic, including punctuality, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to helping the team succeed.
