Job Description
- Ensures the day-to-day operations of the facility including janitorial, life-safety, consistent with C&W policies and client directives. This is to include the management of contracts to assure all contracts are reviewed on a regular basis and are bid out as needed and assures invoices match contract pricing
- Charged with the supervision of all maintenance programs relating to the interior appearance of the property
- Responsible, at all times, for a positive and prompt response to requests from occupants and for the implementation of ongoing contract programs to constantly assess occupant needs and to assure problems are being solved promptly in accordance with contract scope and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
- Actively participate in the preparation of operating plans and budgets, financial reports contracts, expenditures and purchase orders related to the facility
- Assist in the development of capital budgets for the property This includes contributions towards a five-year plan of maintenance, facility improvement, and cost reduction initiatives
- Responsible for the collection, analysis and reporting of data as may be required to provide accurate and current assessment of facility management objectives
- Facility Manager shall be thoroughly familiar with the management contract and all requirements contained therein
Requirements
- The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate commercial acumen in areas of improving business performance at a strategic and practical level
- Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
- Working experience with various platforms and accounting systems, preferably Yardi
- Experience including business planning, budgeting, and personnel management
- Experience in managing business operations within a fixed cost environment and ability to minimize financial exposure
- Experience in vendor contract administration, financial control, staff management property and facility management required
- Must be a strong team player with an ability to build effective working relationships with individuals, other departments and client representatives
- Energetic, lateral thinker with an enquiring mind and a commercial approach
- High degree of personal drive and motivation to succeed
- Good communicator (written and verbal), with high quality report writing skills
- Ability to learn quickly and keep abreast of developments
- Committed to achievement of assigned goals and targets
- Ability to multi-task and maintain progress on multiple projects and processes.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to travel from floor to floor
- The employee may also be regularly required to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
