Job DetailsJob Location: Queens, NY - Queens, NYSalary Range: $18.00 - $23.00 HourlyLOCATION: New York City – Local Travel Required Advantage Surgical Wound Care is a nationwide wound care surgical practice that provides exemplary wound care services to patients in post-acute care. We are seeking motivated, reliable, and compassionate medical assistants to work alongside wound care clinicians in the post-acute setting. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing wound care team! Schedule: Mon-Fri 6:30am-2:30pm Requirements: Medical Assistant (front or back office), certified nursing assistant, medical tech, medical transcriptionist, or licensed vocational nurse.  Required Skills: Traveling role: Ability to drive to multiple long term care facilities in New York Area – reliable transportation a must Ability to observe wounds and assist with procedures Ability to transcribe medical dictation Basic computer skills Ensure HIPPA compliance Ability to lift and reposition patients and practice good body mechanics Exceptional communication skills are required. Ability to interact and treat patients and peers with fairness, compassion, respect, and sensitivity to cultural/social difference RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist providers with minor wound care procedures and exams Assist/perform wound dressings, patient care, repositioning, transferring, documentation. Provide patient comfortable experience during wound care procedures Transcribe dictation into medical records accurately and efficiency Insurance verification and authorization, billing codes. Obtain required documentation from the medical record and send to the corporate office Electronic Medical Record data entry Ongoing communication with nurses and liaison for ASWC and customer Maintain proper infection control as per protocol Qualifications
