We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Psychiatric Unit. The RN will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide safe, patient-centered care for individuals with co-occurring medical and psychiatric conditions. Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring, crisis intervention, patient education, and care coordination in a fast-paced acute care setting. The RN will promote a therapeutic environment while upholding the Plantree philosophy and the core values and mission of SBH through compassionate and culturally sensitive care.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Monitor, evaluate, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications and prescribed treatments safely and accurately
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition or behavior
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and discharge planning
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education

 

Qualifications
• Current active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
• Acute care and/or behavioral health experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and crisis intervention skills
