About the Role

Firefly is hiring an experienced Electrical Engineer to realize our product roadmap, where design and reliability are uncompromising principles.

We're building the operating system for physical safety – devices and software that help schools, hospitals, hotels, workplaces, and public venues understand what's happening across their spaces, coordinate action, and respond when every second matters.

As an Electrical Engineer at Firefly, you will be working through the full hardware lifecycle from R&D through mass production. You'll be working with experienced counterparts across FW, ME, ID, and SW; and directly with our manufacturing partners to balance tradeoffs and ultimately build the best products for our users.

You're a fit if you have:

• Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of experience designing low-power, wireless devices

• Experience with schematic capture, layout, component selection

• Ability to bringup, debug, and validate in the lab

• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and product intuition

• Experience with contract or joint development manufacturers

• A track record bringing multiple products to mass production, including design for manufacturability and quality

Compensation

The salary range for this full-time position is $160,000 – $220,000 plus equity and benefits. Actual compensation will depend on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
