Assistant Teacher – Infant, Toddler, or Preschool Classrooms
The Learning Experience – Columbus Circle is seeking a dependable Assistant Teacher to support classrooms serving infants through preschool-aged children. This role helps create a structured, engaging learning environment while supporting daily classroom routines alongside Lead Teachers.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children in a collaborative early childhood education setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Â Assist with daily classroom routines and learning activitiesÂ
- Â Support developmentally appropriate experiences for children across age groupsÂ
- Â Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environmentÂ
- Â Guide children through transitions including meals, rest time, and learning centersÂ
- Â Prepare classroom materials and support group activitiesÂ
- Â Communicate professionally with families and teaching team membersÂ
- Â Follow New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirementsÂ
Qualifications
- Â High school diploma requiredÂ
- Â Prior childcare experience preferredÂ
- Â Strong teamwork and communication skillsÂ
- Â Reliable, patient, and nurturing approach to working with childrenÂ
- Â Must meet New York State childcare licensing requirements
