Your EverydayĀ
Performs patient assessment under physician supervision, including triage, vital sign assessment, and prioritization of care.Ā
Documents patient-related activities and communicates changes in patient status toĀ designatedĀ physicians and nurses.Ā
Conducts blood draws and point-of-care testing according to approved standing orders, reporting abnormal findings to the nurse in charge.Ā
EnsuresĀ patient throughput initiatives and infection control protocols are followed, including proper equipment disinfection andĀ sharpsĀ disposal.Ā
Communicates patient conditions to responsible registered nurses, charge nurses, or physicians, andĀ assistsĀ in patient transportation as needed.Ā
Acts as a resource for unit personnel,Ā coordinatesĀ tasks withĀ appropriate staff, and provides educational experiences for EMT students.Ā
Assumes responsibility for completing patient care charges and contributes to the improvement of patient care quality through committee participation and suggestions for improvement.Ā
Continues professional growth through identification of educational needs, goal setting, and planning for continuing education.Ā
The Must-HavesĀ
Ā
Minimum:Ā
High School Diploma or 2 years of experience in relatedĀ area.Ā Ā
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Ā Ā
PALS certificationĀ
Preferred:Ā
1 year ofĀ experience asĀ Emergency Medical Technician-ParamedicĀ
