Position Summary

The Graphic Designer supports the Marketing & Communications team in producing creative materials across ICP. Working under the direction of the Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications, this role focuses on executing visual assets that support exhibitions, school programming, public programs, membership, and institutional initiatives.

This is a hands-on design position responsible for producing print and digital materials in alignment with ICP’s brand standards. The role collaborates with colleagues across departments and helps ensure consistency and quality across all visual communications.

Essential Functions and Duties


Graphic Design

  • Execute design for integrated marketing campaigns across print, advertising, web, email, and social media
  • Support the design of environmental graphics for galleries and school spaces, including signage, wall texts, and object labels
  • Produce print and digital assets including brochures, flyers, postcards, event collateral, email templates, and online graphics
  • Maintain consistent application of ICP’s brand identity and visual standards
  • Present design concepts internally and incorporate feedback
  • Work onsite with teams at ICP’s Lower East Side location
  • Other duties as assigned


Project Coordination

  • Manage assigned design projects from concept through final production within established timelines
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors as needed
  • Prepare files for print and digital production
  • Elevate timeline, scope, or production issues to the Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications




Requirements

Education & Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic or visual communication design preferred
  • Minimum two years of professional design experience, including print and digital production
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; working knowledge of digital production standards
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Collaborative and proactive working style
  • Interest in photography, arts, or cultural institutions preferred

Compensation

This is a non-exempt, hourly position.

$28.21 to $32.82 per hour, commensurate with experience.
