Sonic Summary

The Registered Nurse will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide care to a diverse maternal/newborn patient population in the mother/baby department.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited School of Nursing with a BSN, and hold a current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license.
The position requires BLS and NRP certifications, along with at least 2 years of experience in mother/baby care.
Prior experience in labor and delivery is strongly preferred, and candidates should possess strong assessment skills for responding to emergencies.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education skills are essential, and familiarity with EPIC is required.

As part of an interdisciplinary team to a diverse maternal/newborn patient population, the Registered Nurse will monitor and support patients in the mother/baby department, providing care throughout every stage from admission to discharge.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN required
Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license required
BLS and NRP certifications required
2+ years mother/baby experience required
Prior experience in L&D strongly preferred
Strong assessment skills and ability to respond to maternal and neonatal emergencies
EPIC experience required
Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-education
