Rental Shop Production Assistant

The Rental Shop Production Assistant supports the daily operations of Readyset’s rental department,

with a focus on order accuracy, inventory organization, and asset accountability.

This role is responsible for ensuring that all rental orders are complete, correct, and properly prepped

before leaving the shop, and that all returned items are checked in, accounted for, and evaluated for

damage or missing components.

This is an entry-level production role with a strong emphasis on organization, attention to detail, and

ownership, with opportunities to grow into fabrication and scenic carpentry.

SPECIFICATIONS

●Order Preparation & Accuracy:

• Pull and stage rental orders from order sheets
• Verify all items, components, and accessories before release
• Cross-check orders to prevent missing or incorrect items
• Flag issues or inconsistencies before orders leave the shop

●Order Check-Out / Check-In:

• Assist with loading and unloading orders
• Confirm outgoing orders match pick lists
• Check in all returned items thoroughly
• Identify and report missing or damaged items immediately

●Inventory Management:

• Maintain organization of rental inventory and storage
• Track movement of assets between shop and jobs
• Return items to proper locations in clean, usable condition

●Communication:

• Communicate clearly with Coordinators and Producers regarding:
• Missing items
• Damaged returns
• Order discrepancies
• Escalate issues early to avoid job impact

●Shop Support & Repairs:

• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Assist with shop upkeep and daily resets
• Learn basic carpentry to repair and recondition rental items
