Description
BASIC FUNCTION: Provides a supportive setting for LESC residents, staff and visitors and ensures outreach, crisis management and life skills functions are being provided.
MAJOR DUTIES:
路 Meets, greets, checks identifications and announces visitors to residents and staff.
路 Maintains daily log of complaints and incidents in the building.
路 Provides assistance to the clients when outside agencies are conducting home visits.
路 Calls 911 in emergencies and informs Emergency Operator of emergency.
路 Support and assist the individuals in developing skills that will further their independence, increase their community involvement and improve their quality of life.
路 Address and access client鈥檚 needs in crisis situations. Follow protocols written in the LESC Policy and Procedure handbook.
路 Engage tenants with outreach and life skills regarding substance use, HIV/AIDS and overall health.
路 Accepts medication deliveries and ensure tenants receive medication.
路 Assets tenants with filling out complaint forms, work orders and relays information to appropriate staff for follow up.
路 Answers central telephones and relays messages to staff and residents.
路 Records and maintains log of incidents.
路 Monitors resident activity and ensures their safety.
路 Assists program staff as needed.
路 Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
SCHEDULE: Per Diem coverage as needed for shifts 8am-4pm, 4pm-12am or 12am-8am
RATE: Hourly Rate $18/hr
LOCATION: Bronx and Manhattan locations available

Requirements
QUALIFICATION - EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
路 Fireguard (F-01) Certification required or must be attained within first 6 months of employment.
路 High School Diploma, GED and/or a satisfactory equivalent combination of education and/or training and experience.
