Qualifications
  • Graduate of AMA approved two (2) year program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Minimum five (5) years as staff Technologist
  • Supervisory experience – Preferred
  • Knowledge of CT/Special Procedures – Preferred
  • Current New York State license in Radiologic Technology
  • Certification from the American Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Knowledge of modern hospital administration, principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of practices and procedures including accounting, finance, purchasing, personnel, facilities, office procedures and records and specific related supporting services within the department.
  • Thorough knowledge of modern patient care and management principles as applied to radiologic technology.
  • Knowledge of principles, and procedures involved in the operation of radiologic equipment.
  • Ability to analyze operational data, employ approved management techniques and obtain maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate various division functions and activities for maximum operation and efficiency.
  • Ability to direct, instruct, and advise division supervisors in the approved methods, procedures and practices employed in effective administration.
  • Ability to receive and effectively react to day-to-day problems presented by the division supervisors and others.
  • Ability to interpret the established policies into operational procedures and to execute hospital programs.
  • Ability to work effectively and smoothly with radiologist and other members of the medical staff as required.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the employees and the public.
