Supervisor: Rosalinda Wessin, Database & Prospects Research Senior Manager

Duration: Academic Term

Availability: Approximately 4-5 hours per week, with weekday shifts scheduled between 10:00 AM-5:00 PM. Occasional evening (6:00 PM-8:00 PM) and weekend hours may be required to support donor and member events.


Position Summary

The Development Assistant supports the Development Team by assisting with donor and member events, prospect research, communications and departmental projects. This role offers hands-on experience in nonprofit development, arts administration, and donor stewardship while contributing to initiatives that advance ICP's mission.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Support donor and member events by assisting with event preparation, guest check-in, and on-site logistics.
  • Photograph Development events and activities for stewardship, reports, and departmental communications.
  • Organize and maintain digital images for departmental records.
  • Assist with membership renewal projects and member communications.
  • Conduct research on prospective individual, corporate, and foundation supporters, as well as artists, exhibitions, and programs that support fundraising initiatives.
  • Assist with maintaining donor and member records in the Development database.


Ideal Qualifications

  • Interest in nonprofit organizations, museums, or arts administration.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.


Eligibility

Only currently enrolled One-Year Certificate (OYC) students are eligible to apply. All applicants will be reviewed by the OYC Program Coordinator to confirm enrollment and eligibility.
